Grower Services Representative
What does a typical day in your role look like?
My typical day varies quite a bit depending on the season. Some days I’m office-based, attending project meetings and working with the Grower Services team on new resources. Other days are packed with on-orchard grower meetings or technical field days. I also spend time working from home, catching up on admin, checking clearances, and advising on harvest decisions.
How did you get into this role?
I previously worked in a different team at EastPack before applying for an open position in the Grower Services team. From there, I helped shape my current role by identifying gaps in our processes and resources.
Did you need to study for this role, if so, what did you study?
I’ve studied business, although I didn’t complete a degree.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy the flexibility and variety. No two days are the same, and that keeps things interesting.
What’s something unique, surprising, or fun about your role or team?
Our wider team is quite close—we share work experiences and also get together for social outings like sports and music events. It makes for a supportive and fun work environment.
What advice would you give someone interested in your role or career path?
Not everyone has the same type of goal. It’s okay to pursue a specific job, but it’s equally valid to aim for working in a particular industry or field. Sometimes the job finds you and turns into a career path. Stay open to opportunities.
